True Happiness comes from a job well done..!

What’s happiness?
If happiness is wealth, we don’t part it
if happiness is health, we don't care it
If happiness is having a soul-mate, we nag them
if happiness is friendship, we care less

If happiness is family, time it
If happiness is holding  flowers;
Expose it,  the fragrance smears
If happiness is fun, follow it
if happiness is peace, hollow it

Happiness is emotions, express it
Happiness is love, soul it
Happiness is lust, long it
Happiness is care, show it

Happiness is guts, dare use it
Happiness is risk, take it to tilt
Happiness is energy, roll it
Happiness is dreams, make it true

True happiness is good health;
being part of mysterious nature, earth;
born breathing a motherly birth
True Happiness is a job well done
Rather than a well-timed retaliation
Show it with a whole-hearted smile
Or a roof-cracking laughter...!

Why Dreams?

Is dream is a secret way to chase your destiny?
A flight to ‘feel-it-real’ the unachievable,
An escape to run away from bitter reality,
even for a fake while, with a faint of hope…

A God’solution to decode a tough life riddle
Cracking path to a scientist’s dream discovery
A twist-full end to a writer’s unfinished story
Mazing way to answer a mysterious puzzle.

Is it an ever-unresolved mystery like life-after-death?
Existence of God or how Planets hold up on vacuum
Why on Earth only the living possible?
Or is there an alien world far away up in the skies?

Is there a divine palace under the depth of Ocean
that I often dive deep into?
Or deep under the base of earth, there a netherworld,
I fall void endlessly down...
A most sacred heaven up there with godly bodies,
floating over watching us on tandem,
judging each of our deeds with mark-sheets!

With a gospel, “chase your dream, but hurt no one”
 “Dream big, but leave space for others”
Never live on a dream world,
dance your way to grab it real..

Rekindle mid age romance...Rehashed

When in ROME, live romantic;
when at home, unearth lost romance,
like pink flower bathed outo' blue stream,
honey dew beads, gleams on velvet cheeks
and slopes of nose, casually overlooked.

Wet violet towel hugged tight
the scent of hot skin from fading;
thick black hair let out sighs of hot tears
streamed down the spine, smeared,
lessened its warmth en route.

Red satin gown etched down
natural features she's gifted with
green peaks and valleys, oddly evident;
moist lips tried hard hiding invite smile
rhythmic thuds of heart spelt the yearning within

there she stood waiting for her impending lover,
her better half,  lift her off to joyous Alps
SHOWER her with praise, warmth n' flowers,
to share the chore of homemaking
reduce the labor of upbringing,
respect the spirit of her femininity,
heighten the heaven of sexuality.

Love your Loved ones - Adwin Kris.

Prayer, Voice-cum-stomach stretching exercise:

Sit on Vajrasan Position - On the knees - lift up your hands in "Pranam" position (both upper arms will be touching and closing your both ears) and bring it down while inhaling and lift up again with a deep exhale.

Start the "Om" with full throat vocal and stretch it as much as possible, leave a breath and continue"Nama Shivaya" again sustain the voice as much as possible. With the hands up (in the same pranam position) bend and touch your forehead on the mat or thick strong quilt you are sitting on (not an issue if initially if you can not touch your forehead, gradually it will). Hands should still be in Pranam position should be stretched to maximum while touching the forehead - the tip your hands will be much away from your head in the "Namaskar" position. Be in the Namaskaar position for at least till 20 counts.
Do this "Om Nama Shivaya" for 3 or 5 times.
change it to "Om Namo Narayanaaya" and do the same voice-breath-cum-stomach stretching exercise 3-5 times.

Change it to "Om Namo Bhagavate Vasudevaya" and do the same exercise 3-5 times.
If you can do this, 15 minutes a day. Within one month, you will find drastic change in you.  (But even if you have 5 minutes, some days, pls do it - do not excuse and do this everyday.

For Christians - they can change the Chant to "Oh.....Praise the Lord", Oh Jesus Christ, etc.
For Muslims - Allahu........ Akbar, Al Hamdilulla, etc.

Advantages:
  • Good for singers too to have a good breath control, very important for a singer, apart from clear voice.
  • Fat reserve in Belly or suppose some starch used in Medicines which could turn into stone later, could be burned apart from maintaining a  Flat Belly.
  • You would see glow on your facial skin, especially.
  • Usual benefits from sitting on Vajrasan i.e. increased blood circulation from head to toes(we sit in between toes)
  • Stretching of all body parts (slower the movement, the better for your body) and strengthening of bones.
PS: I do this almost everyday, at least all working days, and though I do eat a lot of rice-rich food, I do try to keep my belly flat and the throat would be clear for rest of the day (if you do it early morning after bathing).

Eureka...solution to "Earth Song" by the Greatest MJ, King of Pop's.

Until that day I vowed to unite them;
My Desktop Green Couple
to tie unusual leafy nuptial knot,
without rings and resonance of altar,
they were two gloomy green grads
clueless about their near future,
their world were dying out there
cut ruthlessly; dried, smoked afire
in rowdy wildfire spread ahead.

They stood inseparable when I
tied them together for life,
they felt charged up in intimacy
kept caring each other like looming lovers
to love endlessly and unconditionally
rubbed each other with sweat and warmth,
blew out seamless breathing air,
pure, undying oxygen unknowingly,
like cool flying kisses from a toddler.

gloomy green grads once, emerged smiley
grown greener, taller and wider,
glowing new leaves, roots, and stems
given me and neighbors nearby fresh air,
glossy signs of prosper and spirit to die for…

Go greener, Grow younger, Love, Adwin Kris

Inspired by Earth Song by Michael Jackson...one of my favorite songs.

Tomorrow demands curious minds...!

Have you ever thought of converting your silly hobbies into something worthwhile? You should think about it because - Tomorrow demands curious minds…!

The first hobby comes to my mind when I talk about it, would be reading… it’s my first love & I consider it as an ultimate entertainment.  Ever since I read the first thriller novel as part of my Grade 09 curriculum, Marthandavarma, by CV Raman pillai, I fell in love with it.  It is still one of my prime hobbies and I do still roam around in the streets of cities I visit, Mumbai, Kochi and Thrissur to buy economically viable second hand novels from the street vendors. For every vacation, suppose if you collect five to six books, by the time of your retirement age, you can have a few shelf-full of books and you may think of starting a community library. This could well be a small-scale retirement plan not primarily an income generating scheme but think about saving people gruesome gadget world to the open air, at least for sometime, because I BELIEVE reading does make people think and create a better community.

During Recession time, our Company had sent us for a Development Planning Training and beforehand they said this doesn’t mean that you are going to get an immediate  hike or promotion very soon but gave all of us a plant to keep near our workstation.  I thought of calling it a Development plant. Many of us considered the growth of the plant as the sign of their career development. I considered the growth of that plant into many plants will indicate of growth of me as a person and as a social human being. And I started thinking of how to develop that plant instead of developing my own career. I got another plant as companion for my Development Plant. I kept these plants both together in constant touch, and like a lovey-dovey couple they both started talking to each other, exchanging love through warmth and sweat, they started blossoming together faster, taller, wider and more greener. This is how I got my next idea. Think of summer in the city where you reside or your own hometown. Though India is fortunate with abundant forests, mountains, and rivers, the summer has become terrible, sun strokes have become common and pure drinking water has become a dream.  When the scientists started talking about the danger of thinning ozone layers the rulers, at the same time, thought tallest towers as the ultimate sign of development, but not many thought about developing a plant in each room of a house, each workstation of the office would be a sign of development. I think of creating a summer hut with a creeper rooftop in my own backyard which could be an ultimate achievement. I think it is time to think, that each one of us should start developing a plant yard in the balcony to save ourselves from the atrocities of Sun, because we are the cause of it and we ONLY have to find a solution for it.

I hear music for the peace of mind and entertainment; and I also do yoga to keep myself fit and disease free. And gradually it’s become my hobby. But have we ever thought of calling up a group of people to a common place and practice yoga and music like a community activity.  You could see around you, many of us trying to work hard and earn money like an obsession by working more than 12hours a day five a days a week and even on weekends with the gadgets and laptops and you think money alone can be your friend in the old age.  I BELIEVE in having a good community who considers peace of mind and physical fitness as the ultimate sign of self-development.  Otherwise, I doubt we will have a community affected with Depression, Alzheimer’s and Schizophrenia.

Friends with this Eureka, I think of an immediate retirement….but sadly not from my job right now...Over to you, with all these ideas…! Hope you got some ideas of how to convert some of your hobbies to some worthwhile activities, not just an option for earning more money but for the betterment of the community where we live too…Tomorrow really demands curious minds…!
