Aamir 'the rich' Khan

'Aamir' in Urdu means 'nobleman' and in Hindi, 'rich'. Rightly so, this billion-dollar Khan is worth every word of appreciation he received (leave alone a couple of Padma Awards conferred upon him in less than ten years), every bit of love he gained, ever-increasing respect that he earned, and the abundant load of affection that he continue to get from many billion people around the world with his on-going efforts on bringing the 'truth to triumph against all odds' – Satyamev Jayate.

He shoveled hard to pave a way for himself, though he took his own time and his share of mistakes like every common man, without giving hint to anyone, without following anyone's footstep, without crossing anyone's path,   experimenting with unbelievable conviction, unfathomable insight to hit upon common men's - the large Indian middle class society's – issues to the fore, inspire them to speak up on national television thereby creating awareness so that frequent occurrences of humiliation can be prevented. Indeed, Indian middle class needs to be reminded constantly otherwise it will be simply ignored in their ever-challenging quest to make day-to-day ends meet.

Like few of his recent films, be it Taare Zameen Par, Rang De Basanti, Three Idiots or Peepli Live, there was a sense of completeness - in each episodes of Satyamev Jayate which is simulcast in various national and regional television channels – it did not just brought out the yellow sensationalism of grey-shaded incidents but had gone   deep into blue depth to bring out little green left in this red-blood-ridden world.

I particularly liked the episode of Satyamev Jayate in which it dealt with the unethical ways the common over-the-counter medicines and the much-needed life-saving medicines are priced, or rather 'over priced' to accommodate the undisclosed sum the Pharma-companies pay to each and every medical practitioners, the media advertising campaigns and the incentives given to the drug stores to promote their product.  All these costs have been recovered from the common men who are plagued with infectious viruses which comes cheap with the breathing air!

This national brand ambassador of UNICEF to promote child nutrition will surely go a long way not just in entertaining people, but engaging the nation to think on priorities, i.e. good health, better education, optimum tolerance level so that people come out of the cast-n-creed divisional barriers to consider that we are 'one-nation-one-religion' and we detest female foeticide, honor killing, intolerance to inter-cast marriage, do away with child-n-bride abuse, and value each and everyone's life as precious!!!
